We are looking to hire a talented expert in trapped-ion apparatus assembly and operation with a passion for hands-on lab work. In this role, you will work on building the next-generation ZuriQ quantum computing systems based on our Penning trap approach. You will be developing an apparatus integrating a wide range of technologies including cryogenic vacuum systems, superconducting magnets, lasers and optics, and electronic control of the trap. Creativity and engineering ingenuity are greatly valued and will be your chief tools when identifying and executing key upgrades to future systems. You will be supported by a team of quantum architects, electrical engineers and software developers in a friendly and exciting start-up environment that values both out-of-the-box solutions and excellence of execution.

Key skills:
- Experience with a full trapped-ion experiment development cycle

- Mechanical design (CAD)
